DELIVERY TERMS

Matière Grise proposes several delivery modes  detailed below, for all orders online at matieregrise-design.com, for metropolitan France (including Corsica and other littoral islands). You would like to be delivered outside of France ? Please get in touch with us and we’ll happily make a quotation for you :

DELIVERY PRICING

The cost of a regular delivery (le prix de la livraison normale/standard (ground floor, in front of main door) is calculated depending on the department of destination and the total weight of the order. Options can be added to this regular base price :

  • Regular delivery + collection of packagings        Standard + 8 € incl. VAT
  • Door deliveries above ground floor                       Standard + 20 € incl. VAT
  • Both above options                                                   Standard + 28 € incl. VAT

 

The delivery options proposed at order depend on the products in the cart. These delivery options will appear on the cart page. To see them, there has to be at least one item in the cart. Then, when on the cart page, click on “Calculate shipping”.

For all orders with only small products (less than 2 kg) such as our centerpieces, the delivery will be handled by the French La Poste and will thus cost 8,65€. The delivery time will also be shorten, 1 to 2 weeks.

THE STEPS OF YOUR DELIVERY

  1. When you order, you choose your delivery mode and give your delivery address
  2. When your order leaves our warehouse, the forwarder will contact you, either by calling you or sending you a text message, to make an appointment and organize the delivery.
  3. The day of the delivery, the forwarder will bring your order to you. He will request that you sign the delivery note.

Where exactly will I receive my order ?

For the regular delivery ; the forwarder will deliver your order at the front door of your house (if it’s a house) or in the building’s hallways (if it’s an apartment), or in front of the building’ main door if he can’t access the hallway.

In this delivery mode, the forwarder will not deliver your products either inside your home or upstairs. He also does not have to unpack or install the products. If you’d like the forwarder to take the products upstairs, or that he takes all packagings back before leaving, please choose the adequate delivery mode when you confirm your order.

When will I receive my order ?

The manufacturing for all our products is usually between 2 and 4 weeks. We don’t have any stock, we produce everything on order. The delivery time is usually 3 to 4 business days from the day we send out your order from our warehouse.

Your order will be delivered monday to friday, during the day. The forwarder will propose time windows for delivery that are maximum 4 hours long, and he’ll get in touch with you 1 hour or 30 minutes before he arrives. When you make the appointment, it is also possible to give instructions. Example : deliver to a neighbour, drop the package behind the gate, etc.
If you are absent when the forwarder arrives, he will leave a non-delivery notice in your mailbox with its contact details, enabling you to get in touch with him, or he will call you again later to find a solution to make your order available to you. Any new identical delivery will be at your expense.

Caution – IMPORTANT – At the delivery :

Before signing the delivery note, please check the state of the boxes at least, and check the goods inside the boxes if you can. If you notice that damage has occurred during shipping, check imperatively the state of the product inside the box before you sign the note. If the product has any damage (scratch, bump, etc.), mention it on the delivery note : “X box(ex) damaged.  X product(s) reference Y degraded.” You can also REFUSE to take the products in if you think it’s not acceptable, for instance if the products are very much deteriorated or destructed. In this case, write on the note “X product(s) destructed” on the forwarder’s delivery note. If possible, take pictures, and in any case, let us know as soon as possible via a phone call or an email :

Installation / assembly / set-up of the products

The installation of the products (assembly, putting up the screws, etc.) is not provided with delivery. If you want your product to be unpacked and installed when delivered, please ask us and we’ll make a specific quotation for you, according to your needs.

CAUTION – BEFORE THE DELIVERY :

For all home deliveries :

– Check that all openings (doors, stairs, lifts, …) are large enough for the products to go through and that the surroundings of your home are accessible to a truck, or specify the constraints when making the appointment for delivery. Otherwise, if you do not specify this before, the expedition fees for the return of the products will be billed to you (read the sales terms and conditions).

– In the event that your are absent or unavailable to receive your order, please inform the forwarder 24h before the time window selected with him. Otherwise, the next delivery will be at your expense.
– Please indicate the phone number and email address to reach you because they are necessary to make the appointment, both for regular and “premium” deliveries.
– Before unpacking the products, please check the state of the boxes.If you notice that damage has occurred during shipping, check imperatively the state of the product inside the box before you sign the note.
